Hey guys!

So I kind of suck at this journal thing but figured I should give a little update.

My mental state has been pretty up and down, I'm not gonna lie. The winter has been exceedingly long, dark and cold this year. We've essentially had our winter since September and there's no end in sight until May. When I say winter, I mean it, temperatures plummeting between minus 15 and 30 all these months with only a few days going about minus 10 degrees Celsius. We've hardly seen sun either, which has made things that much harder. And of course, there's the snow that does not melt or thaw here until May. I rarely leave the house because it's pure misery. Anyhow, that's my negative part of the entry, now onwards to the positive.

Hubby and I are going to be (hopefully since I don't want to jinx anything... shh I'm not superstitious) moving home this year. Finally, after 5 lonnnnnnngggggg years in this dreadful place I have hated with all my being. I basically told him that we just can't do another year in this place. We can't. Both of our sanity can't take much more. So I have been scouting apartments in the Dartmouth/Halifax (Nova Scotia) area. I have already found some I love. I am thinking of possibly trying to get a job at LUSH cosmetics. I absolutely love LUSH for many reasons (cruelty free, all vegetarian/mostly vegan, ethical company.. etc.) and I think I could enjoy it. We are looking at getting a hitch put on our car and renting a UHaul to get our belongings home. So a long drive across Canada but I think it will be an incredible journey. We are aiming for August.

Next good news is that we are going to Las Vegas next month, from March 25th to April 4th. I am going to be seeing my friend Ana for the first time which I am ecstatic about. Visiting the one vegan restaurant they have and going to Whole Foods for the first time which excites me beyond belief! Haha! I am also going to the Extreme Thing festival to see The Birthday Massacre. There are tons of other bands but they are the only one I care about. And also seeing Def Leppard on the 3rd of April. I am excited to see all the lights, attractions and cool things Vegas has to offer. We are also making a trip to the Grand Canyon. So that is what is keeping me going for the rest of these cold dark days.
